Brick Box Events

This fun, artful space is perfect for get-togethers looking for that funky vibe. The high, black ceiling and shimmering hardwood floors in this first-floor space play off the 100-year-old brick wall that gives this room its name. Chic, black cabaret tables lead the way to a corner stage that's ideal for a small ensemble to entertain you and your guests. The space is perfect for gatherings of 75 people or fewer.

Works by Richard Weis - Opening Reception July 11, 5:00pm - 8:00pm

To Dick Weis, the use of visual language is endlessly fascinating. Time, place and circumstance constantly suggest relationships that he sees as interactions of line, shape, color and surface.

"As an artist I am often compelled to record experienced moments and place them before the viewer, often distilled through time and distance. I use the process of art making to explore the idea, examining its dynamics through the exploration of visual form. The nuances of the visual language become the means by which I explore the inner and external worlds in which I live."

Many of the works in this exhibition are pieces that evolved from his work in South Korea where he resided as an Artist-in-Residence under the Fullbright Program in 2003.
